    As this is a (kind of) new account - allow me to introduce myself, the person behind Find your Dao. I’m Maggie, a former TV producer turned Chinese Medicine practitioner who started training back in 2020 - first qualifying as a Qigong teacher, a sound therapist and more recently an acupuncturist. I’ve been practising acupuncture in East Grinstead at the teaching clinic belonging to the world-renowned International College of Oriental Medicine (ICOM) from which I graduated with first class honours in my Licentiate of Acupuncture. This week **fanfare** on Wednesday 2 Sept, I open my clinic doors at Tunbridge Wells Osteopaths in central Tunbridge Wells! My approach to acupuncture is to blend ancient tradition with modern science to create a holistic treatment which is completely tailored to your needs. I integrate Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM), Classical 5 Phase (5 Element) and Japanese styles of needling and moxibustion, in addition to Stems and Branches theory. In your first appoinment with me, I take a full medical history and body diagnosis before creating a bespoke treatment plan to address any concerns or conditions. Thousands of years ago the Chinese developed a comprehensive philosophy and from that an elegant system of medicine based on their observations of the human body, the natural world and the cosmos. What does ‘Find your Dao’ mean? Both in life and as a brand mission statement “finding your Dao” means aligning your body, mind, and daily habits with the natural flow and balance of the universe. The Dao (sometimes spelt Tao) translates to “the Way” or natural order. In Chinese medicine healing occurs by restoring inner equilibrium rather than fighting or forcing change. I’ve been hard at work for three long years, studying Chinese medicine and acupuncture at the world renowned International College of Oriental Medicine @icom_acupuncture. I’m a couple of weeks away from the finish line but well aware that the adventure is really just beginning.
